Third-year law student Cailynn Hayter recently published an article, “Missouri Takes a Strong Stance on Arbitration,” as a guest blogger on Professor Amy Schmitz’s website, My Consumer Tips.

In her post, Hayter analyzes the consumer friendly implications of Tamko Building Products, Inc. v. Hobbs, a Missouri case which held that an arbitration clause attached to the outside of a product’s packaging was unenforceable. In addition, she critiques a new Missouri bill issued in response to the Tamko ruling that could severely hurt consumers.
