Professor Frank O. Bowman III was selected as one of this year’s winners of the Gold Chalk Award, which recognizes university faculty members “who have made significant contributions to the education and training of graduate and professional students,” according to the award’s website.

The award is one of four presented by the MU Graduate Professional Council, and one faculty member from the university’s professional schools — Law, Medicine and Veterinary — is selected, according to the website. The three other awards recognize faculty members from different departments.

Professor Bowman was recognized at the 2017 Graduate Awards Banquet, hosted by the MU Office of Graduate Studies and the MU Graduate Student Association.
