Professor Angela Drake was recently selected to receive the Deborah L. Rhode Award from the Association of American Law Schools’ Section on Pro Bono and Public Service Opportunities. In recognition of her determination and dedicated work with veterans, Professor Drake will receive the award at the AALS annual meeting in January in San Diego.
The Rhode Award is presented to a full-time faculty member or dean who has made an outstanding contribution to increasing pro bono and public service in the law school setting through scholarship, leadership or service.
Since 2014, Professor Drake has directed the Veterans Clinic at the School of Law. The clinic serves veterans and their families in matters related to VA disability benefits.
