Professor David English has been appointed by the Uniform Law Commission as a member of the committee to draft a uniform act on the Economic Rights of Unmarried Cohabitants.

The committee will deal with the many property rights issues that can arise between unmarried couples of different or same sex. Professor English also served on the study committee that recommended that a uniform act be drafted. The drafting committee will hold its first in-person meeting sometime over the next year.
