Professor Lambert Speaks at Show-Me Institute Forums

Professor Thom Lambert recently spoke at four Show-Me Institute Forums titled “Market Failure vs. Government Failure.” He shared insights from his book, How to Regulate: A Guide for Policymakers, and how regulatory efforts to correct market failures often make the problem worse. The best regulation maximizes the public good and minimizes public costs. Like a physician, policymakers should diagnose the underlying disease and identify its symptoms and potential remedies before selecting the regulation that offers the greatest net benefit.

The forums were held around the state of Missouri in Kansas City, St. Louis, Springfield and Columbia.
