Professor Amy Schmitz was recently appointed as a co-liaison for the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of International Law to the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), for a one-year term ending August 10, 2018. As a liaison, she will serve as the section’s ambassador to the UNCITRAL.

As a liaison officer, Professor Schmitz will submit reports that become the basis for planning or supporting various programs and activities, and will help the ABA understand the work of international organizations. Liaisons are part of the section’s leadership and are called to enrich the section through interactions with the UNCITRAL.
