Professor Amy J. Schmitz will present a two-hour, free “ODR Training for Community Mediators,” on Tuesday, May 5 via Zoom. As part of her ongoing pro bono work to assist mediators who are having to move online in the wake of COVID-19, Professor Schmitz has teamed up with the director of the American Bar Association Section of Dispute Resolution, Linda Warren Seely, to provide community mediators in Tennessee and elsewhere with knowledge and skills they will need in providing mediation for small-dollar claims. The training is designed to advance access to justice, and help community mediators understand the strengths, weaknesses, and best practices around online dispute resolution (ODR).
