Professor Amy J. Schmitz will present as part of an Online CLE for the American Bar Association on April 22 at 2:30 p.m.-4:00 p.m. central. In this webinar, In The Know – Online Dispute Resolution “ODR” and You, Professor Schmitz will discuss how Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) can assist businesses seeking to continue operations and resolve disputes along the way in the wake of COVID-19. This program will provide an introduction to ODR from its initial use as a tool for consumer dispute resolution by e-commerce pioneers such as eBay and PayPal, to its adoption and widespread use by the international community in the European Union and Asia, and most recently as a domestic initiative in U.S. courts through various pilot programs in public courts. Professor Schmitz was a catalyst for bringing the panel together and inspiring collaboration of the ABA Business and Dispute Resolution sections.

The ABA will seek 1.50 hours of CLE credit in 60-minute states, and 1.80 hours of CLE credit for this
program in 50-minute states. Credit hours are estimated and are subject to each state’s approval and
