Professor Amy J. Schmitz gave a presentation, “A Primer on Arbitration and Mediation: Concepts Creeping Into Every Healthcare Contract,” for the Missouri League for Nursing, Nursing Home Conference, in Camdenton, Mo., on March 3. In her two-hour presentation, Professor Schmitz explained various dispute resolution methods used in healthcare disputes and updated attendees on the law related to arbitration contracts. She also directed a simulation activity, and answered audience questions regarding mediation and arbitration.
