Professor S.I. Strong recently spoken at Bar-Ilan University in Tel Aviv, Israel, at a conference on religious violence and extremism convened by the Journal of Law, Religion and State.

Professor Strong’s contribution, “Religious Extremism and Religiously Oriented Violence: A New Theoretical Response,” drew on a new theoretical paradigm that is developed more fully in her book, Transforming Religious Liberties: A New Theory of Religious Rights (Cambridge University Press, 2018.)
