Professor Ben Trachtenberg was recently named to the MU Task Force on Academic Program Analysis, Enhancement, and Opportunities created by Provost Garnett Stokes.

According to the provost’s office, the task force is charged with “conducting a top-to-bottom analysis of all of our academic programs, eventually making recommendations regarding areas of future investment, potential consolidations, and in some cases, program discontinuance.” By September 1, the task force will submit a report to the provost that identifies data relevant to the review and suggests the best ways to involve members of the campus community. During the fall semester, the group will reach out to the campus community as members gather data and feedback. The task force’s final report is due January 15 and will make specific recommendations about MU programs.
