About Cade Jones
My name is Cade Jones and I am currently a 2L at Mizzou Law. I am from Tiffin, Iowa, a small town outside of the Iowa City area. I attended Iowa State University as an undergraduate where I graduated in 2016 with Cum Laude honors in three years while earning a degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Political Science. I obtained my master’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Saint Louis University in 2018. I have had the opportunity to intern with many fine entities including the Thurston County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, the Social Security Administration/Office of Inspector General, and the Weld County District Attorney’s Office. My goals are to pursue a career as a prosecutor working with violent and white-collar crimes and as a long-term goal, I aspire to be a judge.
My journey to Mizzou Law is a bit interesting. I came for a visit back in 2016 and was enamored with the collegial and community atmosphere fostered by Mizzou Law. I felt very welcomed and my tour guide, professors, and many others gave me the feeling that my experience was valuable. As the years passed and the more law school applications I filled out, Mizzou Law was always on my mind. When deciding on a law school, Mizzou gave me a feeling that I would not be treated as just a number. Mizzou tailored my acceptance letter around aspects that I included in my application. This gesture had an indelible impact on me. At the end of the day, Mizzou Law gave me the best position where I could achieve the goals I have. Now that I am a 2L, I know I made the right decision. While law school can be stressful, Mizzou Law has given me long-lasting relationships and experiences that will lead to grand experiences in the future.
