About Kristen Evans
My name is Kristen Evans, a current 2L at Mizzou Law. I am from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a minor in Spanish. I am also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and interested in criminal, employment, and corporate law.
Before coming back to school, I took two years off to work and study for the LSAT. In those two years, I learned a lot of transferrable skills that have helped me become a successful student and future attorney. I continued to stay motivated over those years by constantly reminding myself of my goals in life. No matter how I choose to practice law, I will always practice my advocacy skills. I believe in being a voice for those that feel unheard and unseen, but will always find ways to bring those voices to the meeting room to diversify the field.
I was sold on Mizzou when I came to visit over summer. I was thoroughly pleased with the family atmosphere Mizzou creates within the law school, the cost of attendance, and networking opportunities that expand throughout the country. Since being at Mizzou, I have been able to network, build on my strengths, and create lifelong friendships. Navigating through law school is very stressful, but Mizzou creates a space that allows students to seek assistance and grow to become phenomenal students and attorneys. I am here to assist you in any way and I am looking forward to watching you grow as future attorneys!
