Applicant Status Glossary
The following definitions are used for an individual applicant’s status online website. The link and passwords to the site are provided to an applicant upon the law schools application processing.
We have received your application and will send an e-mail with your username and password for the online status checker. Please allow up to 7 business days for us to process your application as this is not an automatic process. We will update your status and send you an email once your application has been processed.
Your application is incomplete. Please refer to the requirements checklist on your online status page to determine which item(s) are missing. You application will not be reviewed by the admissions committee until it is complete.
Your application is complete and ready for review by our admissions committee.
Your application has been sent to the admissions committee. Once it has gone to the committee, it could potentially take 6-8 weeks for a decision to be made.
Decision in Mail
The admissions committee has made a decision on your application and your decision has been placed in the mail. If you do not receive your letter in the mail during the following week, please let us know. Unfortunately we cannot give out this information over the phone but we are able to mail out an additional letter.
You do not have a complete application and despite attempts by the admissions office to contact you, they have received no response. Since the admission committee cannot review incomplete applications, your application has been denied.
Deposit 1 Paid
The admissions office has received the first $250 seat deposit. This is nonrefundable and will go towards your fall tuition.
Deposit 2 Paid
The admissions office has received your full seat deposit. This deposit is nonrefundable and be applied towards your fall tuition.
The admissions committee has asked you to join the waitlist.
You have been admitted and subsequently have been approved by the committee to defer your admission to the following year.
You have confirmed your spot on Mizzou Law’s waitlist.
Withdrawn Declined Admission
You have requested to remove your application from Mizzou Law.
Withdrawn-Did Not Respond to Waitlist
You did not respond to e-mails from the admissions office asking to confirm your spot on the waitlist therefore you have been withdrawn from the list.
Withdrawn Before Decision
You have requested to remove your application prior to receiving a decision from the admissions committee.
Withdrawn-No Deposit Paid
You failed to pay your seat deposit to secure your seat in the entering class and have subsequently been withdrawn.
Withdrawn Declined Waitlist
You have been removed from the waitlist.
