Kelly Collins, ’15, Appointed As Montgomery County (OH) Assistant Prosecuting Attorney

DAYTON, OH (07/11/2022) – Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney Mat Heck, Jr. announced that Kelly M. Collins has been appointed to the position of Assistant Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney.

Collins received her law degree from the University of Missouri School of Law, in Columbia, Missouri, in 2015. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri in 2012, majoring in Business Administration.

Since 2016, Collins has served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for the Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office in Kansas City, Missouri. Most recently, Kelly was assigned to the Violent Crimes Unit.

Kelly is assigned to the Intake/Grand Jury section of the Prosecutor’s Office. The attorneys in the Intake/Grand Jury section present criminal cases to the Montgomery County Grand Jury and handle preliminary hearings in Municipal Court. Kelly is originally from Kansas City and now lives in Dayton.
