About Erik Spence

A native of northeast Pennsylvania, Erik earned his bachelor’s degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management from Penn State University in 1992. After nearly 20 years in hospitality management, his experience in both front and back of house operations allowed him the ability to easily shift into the events industry, where for the past 15 years, he has planned and organized weddings, corporate retreats, and festivals.  Since 2015, Erik has been the conference and events planner for the Association of Lodging Professionals, where he has produced large multi-track, multi-day conferences and trade shows, virtually and around the United States.
