Mizzou Law Co-sponsoring Consumer Empowerment Event

Mizzou Law students will discuss their research on local laws at a Consumer Empowerment Event co-sponsored by the law school, MU School of Social Work and Love INC, a Columbia-area nonprofit organization. The goal of the event is to help the public understand their legal rights in financial matters such as debt, credit and bankruptcy.

Three sessions will be held on Thursday, March 21 starting at 5:00 pm at the Community United Methodist Church. The sessions will cover issues such as improving credit, consumer protection laws, and bankruptcy basics. The event is free and open to the public.
