Al-Mohamed featured in ABA ‘Lawyer Spotlight’

Day Al-Mohamed, ’03, is an attorney at the U.S. Department of Labor. She is featured in the October 29, 2019, American Bar Association’s “Lawyer Spotlight.

The Lawyer Spotlight is a feature that highlights an attorney with a disability who is an asset to the profession. Participants come from all practice areas and all work environments. Al-Mohamed, who is visually impaired, explains what she uses in order to complete her work and how moving to an all-digital environment helps the office to be more efficient.

The Spotlights offer advice and insight into the legal profession from the perspective of an individual with a disability. Al-Mohamed shares why she went into the legal field and how to remain happy and successful. Her work in the Department of Labor includes developing and implementing strategies to increase employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
