Baron’s law review article cited by Hawaii Supreme Court

Roger Baron, ’76, professor emeritus at University of South Dakota School of Law, is an ERISA subrogation and reimbursement expert. He published a law review article, Subrogation: A Pandora’s Box Awaiting Closure, 41 S.D. L. Rev. 237, 241 (1996), that the Hawaii Supreme Court relied upon in its decisions on the case: Hawaii Management Alliance Association v. Randy Rudel. The case ended up in the U.S. Supreme Court and on Feb. 24, 2020, the Writ of Certiorari was denied.
