Misouri Gov.Mike Parson announced a judicial appointment to the 17th Judicial Circuits.

Derek Spencer, ’16, of Raymore, will be appointed as Associate Circuit Judge for Cass County in the 17th Judicial Circuit.

Spencer currently serves as an assistant prosecuting attorney in Cass County. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Mississippi and a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri. He will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of the Honorable J. Michael Rumley.
