Richard Owensby, ’68, retired as senior partner of Neale & Newman, LLP, in Springfield, Mo., after having practiced law with the firm since graduation from law school in 1968.

Owensby has been recognized for 12 straight years by Best Lawyers in America in the areas of trust and estates, and ten times as a top-rated attorney by Super Lawyers in the areas of estate planning and probate. He was a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and has also served as president of the Greene Country Estate Planning Council.

He is a past president of the Springfield Metropolitan Bar association and received its highest honor, The Distinguished Attorney of the Year Award, in 2011.
