Chihera Selected for Internship in New York City

Brian Chihera, LLM ’19, accepted a summer internship at the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR) in New York City.  Chihera was one of two LLM in Dispute Resolution students studying with Mizzou Law in 2018-2019 from the University of the Western Cape in South Africa. His selection adds to a growing list of MU LLM students who have interned at CPR.

CPR is a pioneering organization in the dispute resolution field and provides services throughout the world. In addition to blogging about current developments in DR, interns at CPR conduct research and compose content for CPR’s website, CLE courses, its publications and articles. Interns also conduct background research for CPR’s Industry and Practice Committees and for institute-wide surveys and studies. These internships at CPR are an excellent opportunity for our LLM students.

Each year the Husch Blackwell law firm provides funds for a stipend to help cover expenses and make it more feasible for our LLM in Dispute Resolution students to participate in unpaid internships with either CPR or the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in New York City.
