JR Swanegan, assistant dean for admissions at Mizzou Law has been named a 2023 Diversity & Inclusion Award recipient by Missouri Lawyers Media.

These awards recognize attorneys, judges, firms and organizations that are significantly advancing diversity, inclusion and the dignity of all people in Missouri’s legal profession and in communities in which exceptional legal work helps ensure justice for all. Dean Swanegan is one of 20 recipients of this year’s award.

“I am humbled to be recognized as a 2023 MLM Diversity and Inclusion Award recipient,” Swanegan said. “The strength of our community comes from the wide range of ideas, backgrounds and experiences that our students bring to Hulston Hall. I’m looking forward to continuing this work as we educate, train and develop future Mizzou Law legal professionals.”

The award recipients will be honored during a virtual awards event in August.
