Mizzou Law 2017 Graduate Accepts Position at the University of Bonn

Brian Thompson, ’17, recently accepted a two-year contract at the University of Bonn in Bonn, Germany. He will serve as a research assistant and lecturer at the Institute of Private International Law and Comparative Law at the university.

Most of his research will focus in the areas of private law, conflicts of laws and banking law, working with Dr. Matthias Lehmann, with whom he will have the opportunity to publish articles. As a lecturer, he will be able to select the topic of his choice — anything from private international law to topics in American law.

During his service as a research assistant and lecturer, he will pursue a doctoral degree on the topic of his choice. Employment at the institute also qualifies him for German Civil Servant Status.
