Mizzou Law Disperses Grant to Students for COVID-19 Relief

The AccessLex Institute generously provided the University of Missouri School of Law with a grant to assist our students with COVID-19 related emergency relief. We made these funds available to all Mizzou Law students regardless of status or financial aid eligibility to provide relief with COVID-19 related expenses. The Law School awarded 35 students a total of $25,000 in emergency funds. The average grant per student was $714, and the amounts varied from $150 to $1,300.

The past couple of months have been an entirely new challenge for our students. We are immensely proud of their ability to stay on top of their studies while dealing with the undue stress of these uncertain times.

Our students shared the following words upon receiving these additional funds from AccessLex:

THANK YOU SO MUCH! Holy cow, this will absolutely be a HUGE help for myself and my family. Thank you thank you thank you. Hope to see you in the fall!

Good morning, and I hope all is well. Thank you for the good news, and for your efforts in helping me obtain the funding. I sincerely appreciate it.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate the support from the law school during these times!

We extend our gratitude to AccessLex for allowing Mizzou Law the opportunity to provide this additional support for our students during these trying times.
