Professor Henson honored with Diversity and Inclusion Award

Professor Chuck Henson is among the winners of the Missouri Lawyers Media 2020 Diversity and Inclusion awards.

The awards recognize attorneys, firms and organizations, who are nominated by peers, for significantly advancing diversity, inclusion and the dignity of all people in Missouri’s legal profession and in communities in which exceptional legal work impacts justice for all.

Four Mizzou Law alumni also will be honored: Norma Jackson, ’11, Thompson Coburn; Al W. Johnson, ’81, New Covenant Legal Services; J.Y. Miller, ’96, Husch Blackwell; and Kimberly J. Norwood, ’85, Washington University School of Law. Lana Knedlik, Office of the General Counsel for the University of Missouri, also is among the 21 honorees.

In previous years, honorees have been recognized during a live luncheon ceremony in St. Louis. Due to COVID-19 and related social distancing concerns, this event, scheduled for noon-1:30 p.m. July 31, will use video storytelling to celebrate each winner.
