Student Perspective: Pancakes for Roger

On Friday, February 7, Mizzou Law Veterans Clinic hosted Pancakes for Roger in Hulston Hall. 3L Juvan Bonni shared a student perspective thoughts with us:

The 2nd annual Pancakes for Roger event on Friday, February 7 was overall very successful. Students, professors, veterans, and other friends of the Veterans Clinic enjoyed a delicious pancake breakfast, complete with coffee and juice while learning more about the benefits the Clinic provides and other information.

The event celebrates the memory and legacy of Major General Roger Combs, Mizzou Law alum, Missouri Circuit Court Judge, and highly decorated Vietnam combat veteran.

Pancakes were one of Major General Combs’s favorite meals and the Clinic, together with his family, created this event a year ago.

This year’s event gained a substantial increase in popularity from an already successful turnout last year, with more than 50 participants.

Additionally, the Clinic received a significant amount in donations from this event, totaling $964. With the success of this year’s Pancakes for Roger, the Clinic is looking forward to hosting another great event next year.
