Professor Ben Trachtenberg recently presented to the faculty of Drake Law School in Des Moines, Iowa. His talk, “Does College and University Discipline Discriminate Against Minority Students?,” concerned research related to a forthcoming article that will appear in the Nevada Law Journal. Professor Trachtenberg argues that colleges and universities should collect and publish data on the demographics of students subjected to institutional discipline, a practice already adopted by elementary and secondary schools nationwide.
