Professor Bowman Named a University of Missouri Curators’ Distinguished Professor

The University of Missouri Board of Curators voted unanimously at its September 24 meeting to name Professor Frank O. Bowman a University of Missouri Curators’ Distinguished Professor.

Established in March 1968 by the University of Missouri Board of Curators, these prestigious positions are bestowed only upon outstanding scholars with established reputations. Professor Bowman was recognized for his exceptional performance, service and teaching record. His research in multiple fields – federal sentencing law and the law of impeachment – in addition to his teaching, public engagement, and work with student in HATTS, “bring[s] great credit to the University of Missouri-Columbia and the University of Missouri System.”

The appointment is for five years and may be renewed at the discretion of the chancellor.
