About Brett Newberry

Hi! My name is Brett Newberry, and I’m a 2L at Mizzou Law. I’m from West Plains, Missouri, a small town about three hours south of Columbia. I graduated from Mizzou in the spring of 2022 with a degree in Health Science and a minor in music. 

I began to consider law school my sophomore year of college, and in the spring of that year I had the opportunity to take a tutorial-style property law class from a Mizzou Law professor. I had a great experience in the class, and my interest in the material confirmed my desire to go to law school. When it came time to decide what law school I wanted to go to, I leaned on the experience I had in the tutorial and my love for Columbia/Mizzou to help make my decision. Ultimately, I chose Mizzou Law because of what I knew it offered- a rigorous academic experience in a positive, supportive environment.
