About Jessie O'Brien

Hi everyone! My name is Jessie O’Brien and I am a 2L here at Mizzou Law. While I was born and raised in St. Peters, Missouri, I have been mostly in Columbia since 2015. After graduating from Mizzou with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting, I began my career with a large St. Louis accounting firm. Due to the state of our world in 2020, I had the unique opportunity of working virtually for this firm and continued living in Columbia. 

The familiarity of campus, along with the welcoming environment the faculty and students foster, made my choice to come to Mizzou Law easily. Law school is a huge investment and making this decision comes with careful consideration; being at a place that I knew would feel like home for the next 3 years was extremely important to me. While we are all here to receive an incredible education, we are also here for lasting relationships with our faculty and peers. Mizzou Law has proven time and time again to provide all of these things and has proven to be an investment with great return.
