About Maverick Lewis

Hi everyone! I’m originally from Wichita, KS, and I got my undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Economics at Missouri State University. I had always known I was interested in law school and being on the debate team in undergrad helped solidify my desire to practice law.  

 I chose to attend Mizzou Law over other options because of the culture and sense of community I witnessed during my tour. I had read online that everyone in law school would be super competitive, but this wasn’t the case at Mizzou. Everyone my tour guide introduced me to was super friendly. While sitting in on a class, the 1Ls really felt like a close-knit group of students who wanted to help each other succeed rather than sabotage each other for the sake of the curve.
