Computer Lab

The computer lab has twelve desktop computers available for law student use.  All lab computers have Dell All-In-One Optiplex computers with current processor and RAM configurations.  The computer lab is designated as a quiet area.  Six additional computers are available on first floor of the library.  All computers are available for law student use 24 hours a day.

Computers are password protected, and are available for use by MU law students only.  Students are not allowed to save their files to the lab computers or to the file server.  Students may save to USB Flash Drives, the university’s Bengal storage, BOX, or CD-R media.

There are two high-speed HP laser printers inside the computer lab.  Both printers print only in black and white on 8 1/2 x 11 paper at $0.05 per page.  Law students receive $25 for Fall and Spring semester, $7 Summer semester.  Students enrolled for the summer period receive an additional $7 nonrefundable print quota.  If a student continues to print over their print quota, their student account will be charged automatically.

Students may print for free from Lexis via the standalone Lexis printer while researching within Lexis-Nexis.
