Mizzou Law Welcomes First Majority Female Class in History, Largest Class Since 2010

As classes begin, Mizzou Law is excited and proud to welcome the incoming 1L class of 2024 to campus. This class of amazing students and future successful lawyers is historic in many ways. For the first time in the history of the MU School of Law, the incoming class is majority female, with 51% of the 2024 cohort identifying as women.

Additionally, as the school continues to grow, the class of 2024 is the largest incoming class since 2010.

Beyond, and perhaps even more impressive than these exciting numbers is the credentials of this new class. They have set new benchmarks for highest-ever median LSAT scores (159) and median GPA (3.68) for a Mizzou Law class.

Here are some more impressive stats:

The class of 2024 is made up of students from:

  • 21 states and Canada
  • 67% Missouri residents
  • 58 undergraduate institutions
  • 38 undergraduate majors
  • 17% of students are from underrepresented minority groups
  • 6% are veterans.

And if we haven’t bragged about this class enough, they spent all day Thursday giving back to the community by volunteering at the Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri.
