About Rebecca Lim, 1L
Hometown: Chicago, IL
Undergrad School: University of Illinois at Chicago
Major: Human Development and Learning
Throughout undergrad, I hadn’t always considered law school, especially because I went on to work in corporate for three years after graduation. After that time, I decided to pursue law to further my knowledge in the field I was working in. I was initially drawn to Mizzou Law for its strong reputation and affordability, but what truly stood out to me, especially after attending admitted students day, was the support from faculty and professors and the hands-on opportunities offered. The community here has been incredibly welcoming and dedicated to helping students grow both academically and personally. All the professors and different departments have been outstanding at guiding me through everything from general nervousness of 1L year to job prospects post graduation!
In my free time, I enjoy hiking and sewing, and I recently attended my first Mizzou tailgate—which was such a fun way to experience the school spirit! I’m especially interested in pursuing employment law and am excited to keep exploring all the opportunities Mizzou Law has to offer. Feel free to reach out with questions. I would love to talk with you, and I hope to see you soon!
