About Cindy Bassett

Cindy Bassett is the Director of Law Library and Technology Resources and Associate Teaching Professor at the University of Missouri School of Law. Cindy received her M.A. in library and information science in 2001 and her J.D. in 2022 from the University of Missouri.  She currently teaches Lawyering:  Problem Solving and Dispute Resolution and Advanced Legal Research; she guest lectures on a variety of legal research topics including medical research for lawyers and legislative research. Prior to joining the law school faculty, Cindy was the Collection Development Librarian at the Missouri State Library and a public librarian at the St. Louis County Library. Cindy has served both regionally and nationally in law library organizations. Cindy is currently the Secretary of MALLCO, a consortium of regional law libraries. She served as President of the Mid-America Association of Law Libraries (MAALL) and as member-at-large. Nationally, she has served as the Chair of the Legal Innovation and Technology SIS of AALL.
