John Wright has taught courses on both the First Amendment and Legislation at the University of Missouri Law School as well as courses on the history of financial markets and financial regulation at the University of Missouri Trulaske College of Business and Honors College.
Professor Wright formerly served in the Missouri House of Representatives, where he was the Ranking Minority Member of the Higher Education Committee and Vice Chair of the House Ethics Committee. He is also the founder of Rollins Capital, a private partnership dedicated to investing in growing companies. Prior to establishing Rollins Capital in 2008, he was a principal at Silver Lake, the world’s largest technology investment firm, and an analyst in the investment banking division at Goldman Sachs in New York. He has served on the boards of various companies and nonprofit institutions including The National Arts Club, The RAND Corporation’s Division of Infrastructure, Safety, & Environment, Rollins Reading, and Landmark Bank.
Mr. Wright earned a J.D. from Yale Law School (2005) and a B.A. in Economics from Yale College (1998) after graduating from Hickman High School in Columbia, Missouri (1994).
