Mike Murphy is a 1991 graduate of the University of Missouri School of Law. At Mizzou, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Missouri Law Review and received the Judge Shepard Barclay Prize, awarded annually to the “senior demonstrating the highest achievement in scholarship and moral leadership.” He also earned the Ike Skelton, Sr. Prize and the American Jurisprudence Award for excellence in Trial Practice.
After graduation, Mike mentored under Mizzou alum Maurice Graham before becoming a partner at Jones Day in Dallas and later, following his return to Missouri in 2002, at Spencer Fane. Mike currently serves as Director of Claims for Healthcare Services Group and as an adjunct faculty member at Mizzou Law, where he has taught Pretrial Litigation, Advanced Trial Practice, Deposition Practice and Procedure, and Forensic Science and Law.
