Four members of the Mizzou Law faculty presented work or shared their expertise at the 2026 Association of American Law Schools Annual Meeting in New Orleans in January.
Professor Taylor Gamm presented a draft of her article titled “Wildfire Takings” at the Works in Progress: Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources Joint Program.
Professor Shruti Rana gave a presentation for a panel titled “Crisis as a Catalyst: An International & Comparative Law Toolkit for Fostering Dialogue Across Borders.” The panel was sponsored by the Section on International Human Rights, Law in teh Americas, and National Security Law.
Professor Renee Henson served as a commentator “shark” in the artificial intelligence space, where she provded feedback and comments on early-stage scholarly work focused on AI and the law.

Professor Sandra Sperino served as a panelist on The Future of Labor and Employment Law After Loper Bright and Wilcox. She discussed practical ways to introduce students to ideas about statutory interpretation and administrative deference by providing historical context about theories of statutory interpretation and deference during different time periods, such as the 1960s and 70s, the mid-1980s, and the current moment. The panel was sponsored by the AALS Section on Labor Relations and Employment Law and co-sponsored by the Section on Employment Discrimination Law. Professor Sperino is the chair-elect of the Section on Labor Relations and Employment Law.
