About Mary Frerking

Mary practiced law for 8 years in the areas of civil business litigation and professional malpractice with Shughart, Thompson & Kilroy in Kansas City, and then spent 7 years at Media Professionals Insurance handling professional malpractice claims for insurance agents.  Mary left the active practice of law in 2003 to raise her children, Abigail and Matthew.

In 2012, Mary moved with her family from Kansas City to Columbia, and later joined the Clinic as a part-time staff member in the summer of 2019.  Mary is responsible for medical and military record requests for Clinic clients, tracking mail received by the Clinic and managing client deadlines with the VA.
