About Danielle Dodd

Danielle Dodd is the director of the MU Child and Family Justice Clinic. Prior to joining the Mizzou Law faculty full time, she was legal counsel for the Department of Social Services (DSS). As legal counsel for DSS, she advised Children’s Division and Missouri HealthNet. This included litigating termination of parental rights, adult guardianships, and opposing removal-of-name-requests under the Child Abuse and Neglect Registry. Along with this, she taught Legal Research and Writing as an adjunct faculty member. While in law school, Professor Dodd won the Nelson Mandela National Negotiation Competition and received the Roscoe Anderson Award for Excellence in Advocacy. Upon graduation she became a member of the Order of Barristers. From 2018–2022 Professor Dodd worked at True North of Columbia, Columbia’s local domestic and sexual violence agency.
