Health law is a broad area of practice relating to public health and the provision of health care services. It includes numerous topics and subtopics, ranging from health care policy to federal and state regulation of food and medical products, regulation of health care providers, and the doctor-patient relationship. The Mizzou Health Law Program is designed to provide each student with the basic education in both general legal skills and specialized health law knowledge. Mizzou Law offers several foundational courses in this area, providing a curriculum pathway for students interested in pursuing this area of the law. Mizzou Law also features a colloquium series to bring out outside experts to speak on various health law issues.
